Waters which crush from glaciers to the sea, snow-covered peaks and isolated valleys, flowery meadows, unmarked tracks, thats the wild beauty are the Svan Alps. This is the Earthly Heaven for the adventuorus mountaineers. Do not search the complex answers in the nonexistent mountain huts, but listen to the answers of nature. Building a camp below the starry sky, melting the snow on a burner in the C1, thinking about your dream clear head in a warm sleeping bag, will give you new dimensions. PROGRAMME
Day 1 Arrival at Kutaisi’s international airport in the early morning. Transfer to Mestia the ‘capital’ of Svaneti by marshrutka, about 5 hours on the way. In the afternoon we are going to visit Svaneti Museum of History & Ethnography and the house museum of the famous Georgian alpinist Mikheil Khergiani than we are going to explore the town. In the evening we give a welcome dinner in Cafe Laila restaurant.
Day 2 In the morning we do general food shopping, than trip from Mestia to Chalaat Glacier by car. The beginning of the active trekking and carrying part: climbing on bank of the wild Mestia River to Lehkzir Glacier. We going to pitch the place of Base Camp where the glacier covers the mountains’s southern slopes and portions of the adjacent valleys. Chalaat Glacier (1660m) – Lehkzir Glacier, BC (2400m)

The climbing routes are different difficulty, there is possibility to choose the ideal for your mountaineering skills. Check here the Russian Alpine Grades. 2-3 days need to reach a summit, because the process of C1 is highly recommended for safety.
Day 10 The last day of the Camp, we get back into Mestia. Our farewell dinner will be at the local restaurant Cafe Laila, before we are returning to flight from Kutaisi. Flight back home.
